Project Financial Accountant/Jr. Project Cost Engineer. Pharmaceutical/Biotech
Hiring a Project Financial Accountant/Jr PCE (PFA) is responsible to set up, monitor and appraise the fiscal performance of the projects in areas of costs and ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken. Additionally, the PFA is responsible for providing services and support for assigned controlling systems.
Responsibilities:
Ensure transparent and consistent adherence to Engineering Manual, Procurement and Site Finance procedures including tax and duties issues.
Define roles and responsibility, process and cost coding with local departments with placing purchase orders and execute invoicing.
Ensure the data flow and reconciliation between SAP, general contractor and cost management tools.
Establish contact with the Local Accounting Director and secure the secondment of one of the Affiliate’s Accountants to the project team.
Adhere and enforce Roche policies and procedures especially relating to ethics and financial stewardship.
Implement the project financial accounting procedures and systems, financial accounting training and (kick-off) workshops for the project management team, procurement and / or contractor.
Checks the payment application or invoice with the performance of the suppliers.
Ensure actual data figures in the Local Accounting System are project related and coded accurately.
Administer together with procurement that the following registers are available and auditable: bid evaluations, (sub-) contracts, insurance, bank guarantees, warranties, retentions, change orders, payment applications, temporary assets, risk, (de)mobilization.
Support proper and timely project close-out and deliver the Project Data Collection Report.
Provide content/document management services including setting up project specific filing structures; training other team members, ensuring use of Opentext software for systematic archiving of all Project related content. Assisting in organization wide structuring of data and system set up including some user requirement testing of systems as they are implemented.
Technically Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Identify and implement industry best practices in project financial accounting and contract management to deliver discernable and sustainable business results
Skills Required:
Bachelor or University degree in engineering / economics / business administration
PMI, RICS or ACCEi Project Control Professional qualification or equivalent
Min 5 years work experience as PFA
Project Controls, Accounting
CAPEX, Finance or business administration
Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, Google Suite
Very good analytical skills

Pay: $83,224.68 - $100,227.58 per year
