Pre-Fabrication Technician. Data Center

Hiring an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Fabrication Technician to join our recently opened state-of-the-art fabrication shop. The Pre-Fabrication Technician will be an essential part of the team responsible for building electrical components to be used on commercial construction job sites. You will be tasked with working alongside skilled fabricators to assemble and prepare components, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every task. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of tools and construction math, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-pace team environment. This role is great for someone who is eager to learn and contribute to the success of our fabrication operations.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble electrical components and parts according to instructions

  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete various tasks, such as cutting, bending, and assembling materials

  • Perform basic construction math to measure and cut materials with precision

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet project timelines and production goals

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace that adhere to safety guidelines and best practices

  • Ensure high standards of quality and attention to detail in all tasks

  • Follow instructions from team leads and foreman and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

  • Meet strict work completion deadlines to ensure timely delivery of fabricated components

  • Adapt to a variety of tasks as assigned by supervisors, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn


What We're Looking For

Experience:

  • Previous experience in fabrication, construction or assembly environment is a plus, but not required

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques

  • Basic understanding of construction math

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings/instructions

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality work

  • Eagerness to learn new skills and develop expertise in electrical fabrication Desire to work in a supportive, team environment and make a positive contribution toward team goals

  • Self-motivated and able to maintain a positive attitude
